Walter S. Davis Blvd Marsh

Continuing most days to check the Walter S. Davis Blvd Marsh on the
back side of the Tenn. St. U. campus, I found an adult YELLOW-CROWNED
NIGHT-HERON this Wednesday morning. It was preening in a dead tree
near a GREEN HERON. In past years a YELLOW-CROWNED has been seen at
the marsh from time to time, but this is the first time I've seen one
there this year. The pair of BLUE-WINGED TEAL plus the single male that
appeared to be summering at the marsh have not been seen in a couple
weeks nor have I seen the COMMON GALLINULE again.
