This morning I went to Mac and Susan McWhirter's farm in Warren county, hoping to find the continuing Nelson's Sparrows. We lucked out and had great views of 2 Nelson's in one bush. This one particular bush also produced 2 Marsh Wrens and one Sedge Wren, plus Swamp and Savannah Sparrows. We also had one American Pipit fly over. One of the Nelson's was way more cooperative than I expected and provided fantastic views at about 10-12 ft, but also showed a couple times for a nice photo opp. I posted a few photos in a gallery here: http://www.pbase.com/shoeman/fall_2013 Great birding!
