[TN-Bird] Waterfowl and tree swallows - Hatchie

O'Neal Lake, Hatchie NWR, Haywood Co TN

Quick visit to Hatchie NWR yesterday in 4-6 inches of snow and temps
dropping quickly to single digits.  Most waterfowl either leaving or
dispersing locally to newly flooded areas.  Highlights included 130
White-fronted Geese, they've been around about 2 weeks in numbers
ranging from 30 to 85, this is high number for me so far.  Also, 2
Tree Swallows braving the cold and actively foraging over the lake.
My first of year for them here.  No Eurasian wigeon, my last
observation was 18 Feb.
