Shelby Co. TN
DeSoto Co. MS

I ran the Mississippi River Levees and found 3 UPLAND SANDPIPERS in TN
near Cocklebur Lake and 2 groups totaling just 5 birds in Mississippi. The
fields still have low flights and numbers of Golden-Plovers and Pectoral
Sandpipers passing through, just resting and moving on north.

The Red-necked Grebe was again seen testing its wings on Robco Lake while
duck numbers have rapidly decreased, except for Ruddy and Hooded
Mergansers. Pockets of Rough-winged Swallows have increased dramatically in the
 last
few days along with Purple Martin numbers.

What is this feathered thing that lifts my heart to the heavens.
