We will be running Whigg daily from Saturday August 30 through Saturday September 28. Visitors are welcome anytime. Nets are open from 7a-3p. For those that don't know, David Vogt "retired" from coordinating Whigg last year and somehow I got swindled into coordinating it! David is still a regular bander, just with no extra responsibilities now (must be nice!). So this is my second year coordinating and the 17th consecutive year for Whigg. This year will very interesting since significant habitat work has been done on and around the netting area, which will likely not only increase our captures but is also going to be good for breeding Golden-winged Warblers. We've taken advantage of this change to ask some specific questions about habitat and bird captures. I can't wait to get up there in a couple weeks!
