I have seen scissor-tailed flycatchers in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. I can
say with no degree of uncertainty that these pictures are of a northern
mockingbird and not a scissor-tailed flycatcher.

I have looked and looked at these images and cannot in any way "make" a
Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher out of them?
Am I the only one? Appears to be Northern Mockingbird to me.
I've seen Scissor Tailed in molt with shorter tail feathers. These images do
not appear to be one.

On 06 June 2015, Steve & Gail Clendenen from Knox County posted to TennBird
about a sighting of a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher in White County. My wife and I
went to the same area today and actually found TWO Scissor-tails in virtually
the same location. They typically perched on overhead wires and periodically
fluttered and dipped away from the wire and then returned to their perch,
typical flycatcher behavior. As the Clendenens also noted, both birds had the
shorter version of the scissor tail. I am including two photos to confirm the
sighting.

To my knowledge, this is a first record of Scissor-tailed Flycatcher for White
County and reflects the continuing expansion of this species within the state.

Thanks to Steve and Gail for their due diligence. Much appreciated
