Arrow Lake south of Mt. Pleasant Maury County, TN 26 August 2005 Went to check on the Immature White Ibis Friday morning and arrived about 10:45 am. It was actively feeding at the south end of the lake (best seen by pulling off the road on the east side) in the slot where the water goes behind some extensive reeds. At times it would disappear completely behind the tall reeds. A quick search for shore birds resulted in fewer species than Terry Witt found on Wednesday but I did not take a lot of time. There were still plenty of Pectoral Sandpipers with some Least, a few Spotted, and at least a couple Killdeer. Seven Double crested Cormorants were near the northern end. -- Frank Fekel Tennessee State University Center of Excellence in Information Systems 3500 John A.
