I have been remiss in passing along maybe 10 days' worth of White pelican
sightings by a friend who lives on what looks to me to be the Cane Creek
embayment (which confluences with the Tennessee at mi. 547.5), home to Blue
Springs Marina. He has posted several photos on Facebook showing 1 to
perhaps 7 birds swimming not far off his dock. I would guess they can be
viewed from the public parts of the marina if you have a spotting scope or
stout binox.
