Unlike last year, the White-winged Dove has continued for a second day. When I
last left the window before coming into the library, the bird was at the ground
feeder. Today, it would visit the ground feeder, visit the water feature, hang
out on the feeder pole and then move into the pear tree. This afternoon, it
stayed in the tree for several hours before coming back down.
Besides me and my husband, the bird was seen by eight other birders.
(Unfortunately two had to view it in the depths of the pear tree, but it showed
nicely for the others.) If we see the bird at all after work this week, I will
be happy to post an update if people are interested in knowing.
