Plenty of shorebirds in the bottoms especially yellowlegs. Also had a
Wilson's phalarope in full breeding plumage in Pool 5 directly in front of
the Pintail Point observation building. Also of interest were 4
long-billed dowitchers in the same pool and FOS semipalmated plover. One
sora was on the Blue Goose Blvd auto loop. Only a few snipe still being
observed. Good numbers of pectoral and solitary sandpipers around and
clearly more spotted sandpipers compared to last week. Three wigeon and
three shovelers observed and still good numbers of blue-winged teal,
occasional groups of gadwall and coots around.
