Thanks to all who put on the fine TOS Spring Meeting this past weekend in Memphis. It was enjoyed by all. When I got home I was surprised to not find a report on tn-bird of the Yellow-headed Blackbird we had at Shelby Farms, so I thought I'd pass the word. This was a life bird for some, and a state bird for many. It was an adult male found on April 30 by Laurie and Dan Mooney at the fish ponds of Shelby Farms, just south of Walnut Grove Rd. It was again found by Laurie Mooney on Sunday just below the visitor center at Shelby Farms, just north of Walnut Grove Rd. A gorgeous bird enjoyed by many. The Harris's Sparrow was also still around, though not seen by me after two attempts.
