Hi Pam, Check out the Tucson Audubon website, starting here: http://tucsonaudubon.org/what-we-do/visit/planning.html If you are serious, I highly recommend "Finding Birds in Southeast Arizona", available here: http://tucsonaudubon.org/what-we-do/publications/fbi.html Also see the RBA, which I update each Friday: http://tucsonaudubon.org/rba.html If you have your family with you and only have a short time, I recommend either Sweetwater Wetlands (in town, can spend 1-2 hrs there easily) or Madera Canyon (45-60 minutes south, plan to spend a half day). Another nice tourist/birding spot is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum (25 minutes west), and Sabino Canyon is convenient to the northeast side of town. If you let me know ahead of time there's a good chance I can meet you at Sweetwater (it's near my office, and is a great spot). Same goes for any visitors from my home state of Tennessee! regards, Andrew -- Andrew Core Tucson, AZ (compiler, southeast Arizona RBA) On Sun, Mar 13, 2011 at 8:07 PM, Pam Lasley wrote: > I'm taking a quick and unexpected trip to Tucson very soon.
