Over the past couple weeks I have seen two ruby throated hummingbirds at my
hummingbird feeder that I assume were juveniles, but I am not sure. One had
a pale pink tinge to its throat and the other had a bright red spot in the
middle of its throat rather than the whole throat being bright red. Was it a
juvenile or an adult that's molting? I don't know. I don't get a lot of
hummingbirds and would appreciate any input that you could give me.
Thank you.
