Tuesday evening I had a double header softball game at East Park in Nashville (Davidson Co.). At dusk, for about 45 minutes, I witnessed a massive migration of Purple Martins. Thousands and thousands passed over steadily, some a few feet high, some so high they were barely dots in the air. All were headed approximately due south. It was quite a sight. I have no idea of the actual numbers, because I'm quite bad at counting/estimating, but it seemed like a jillion, or maybe even a zillion. -- Chris Sloan chris.sloan@xxxxxxxxxxx Nashville, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
