Hi folks, Yesterday we added bird species #62 to the list for our south Blount County yard. A beautiful red-type Fox Sparrow was kicking around a little leaf pile I made for the juncos and song sparrows. The Purple Finches return daily, but the Pine Siskin was a one-day wonder. We also had our first Yellow-bellied Sapsucker for the year 2 days ago. He drilled holes in a Redbud Tree that had no such marking previously. I've not seen him return yet, nor is there sap in the wells. Unfortunately the starlings also returned yesterday, so we can't put out suet for a week or so. I wonder if that cat trap would fit 500+ starlings...
