[TN-Bird] slightly OT: binoculars

Sorry about the off topic message.

I am new to birding and looking to get a pair of starter binoculars (under $100) and thought I would benefit from the wisdom of your experiences. I figured for that price range, I will have to go for a compact and have narrowed down to Nikon Travellite 8x25 V and Audubon 8x25. Nikon ones are probably of better quality but they have 14 mm of eye relief compared to 16 mm offerred by Audubon.

I would like to hear your opinions.  Thank you so much.
