Continuing to slowly add warblers and migrants to the year's yardlist here in west Knox Co. I have not had any big 'fall out' days with large numbers of species or individuals, and the most warbler species that I've had in a single day is 4. It's been a slow grind with singles and doubles, but I have worked up 16 warblers for the year. Before work yesterday (6 May), I had 2 singing warblers: a Black-throated Green and a YELLOW (FOY for the yard). Today I only had a single bird but it was a FOY singing male MAGNOLIA WARBLER which gave some good looks. Both days I've had 2 vireos: the resident Red-eyed and a very dull, non-singing Blue-headed (female?). The Yellow-breasted Chats have returned to the area around our parking lot at work. I had 2 singing males yesterday (6 May, also west Knox Co).
