Flushed my first sora of the season while disking a wheat field near
water. I pretty much expected to see one as they seem to migrate with the
blue-winged teal. In the end I was surprised I didn't see more than one.
Along the Blue Goose Tour Loop where all of the first big groups of great
egrets and shorebirds were seen (Pool 11) is now back to mudflat. It was
reflooded as water was moved around to irrigate the moist soil areas. It
is now drained back down to repair a water control structure nearby.
