[TN-Bird] squirrel baffle

I wonder if anyone has tried this? I've been keeping mine at distance (having
outside dogs helps) but a Nashville friend showed this to me. Not attractive
but the price is right. Sadly, I lost a redbud in a storm earlier this year
but the positive side is that now there are absolutely no trees the squirrels
can jump from.
