I spent yesterday in the Reelfoot area and then dropped down to Memphis today. 120 species were seen on Friday with the best being a singing Mourning Warbler at the end of Walnut Log Road. The song was aberrant, reminiscent of Kentucky, but the bird fussed up for good views. Also there was one Least Flycatcher there. Not much water around and not many waders, no Cattle Egrets or LB Herons seen. I did see the Bell's Vireo at Black Bayou, and when I was there, both dowitchers were present as well with some other common shorebirds. This morning at Ensley, I found 2 Stilt Sandpipers, 1 WR Sandpiper, and both Dowitchers, but no ruffs or reeves :-( Better luck with the Painted Buntings and W Kingbird!
