It was so nice this morning (24 Aug) I decided I would sit on the deck for a while and get to work a little later than planned. I kept thinking that is was so fall-like that there had to be some warblers moving through and I didn't want to leave until I had seen at least one. Didn't take long.

The Carolina Wrens were particularly fussy about something
this morning and soon a Kentucky Warbler hopped up to see
what was going on. It foraged around a dogwood for about
5 minutes, picking up a few green caterpillars that I've
been trying to find and photograph and making it look easy
to find them, chasing off a couple of House Finches (sic'em
dude), and throwing in a few chip notes to the wren din.

Though they breed in the region, this is only the second
Kentucky Warbler I've had in the yard in the past 3-1/2
years.

A young Brown Thrasher also came out to see what the wrens
were fussing about.

We had a single Common Nighthawk working the neighborhood
Sunday night.
