I am sorry if you receive this twice. My messages are not appearing on the list these days, so I resubscribed.

----------------------------------

Hello everyone

This has been an exciting week. I have had many firsts of my observations.

I do not know if this is posted to the NTOS website but on the first fall migration walk at Radnor lake on Wednesday, 14th, we observed two barred owls sitting within a mile of each other.

This evening at my house (Belmont Area, Davidson County), I saw hundreds of (200+) Common Nighthawks flying overhead at different altitudes. They were crossing paths with Chimney swifts constantly and I was wondering if it was a chase.
I have been submitting all my observations to EBird since past two weeks, it is indeed a great project.
I have started birding at Radnor Lake on Saturday mornings starting 7.30am, and would love some company. If anyone is interested, feel free to call me at 615-308-3076.

Good birding!

Vikram
