Leif,
my RGB monitor cable (i've got 1084S monitor) has round 6 DIN male plug on one
end and DB25 female on other.
My amiga 500 uses a special Amiga 520 adaptor that allows me to output color to
composite connectors (eg 1702/TV etc). This adapter plugs into RGB Video port.

BTW, anyone at TPUG interested in 1541XA cables (commodore to pc transfer
cables). I can ship all of them to TPUG, this way all can collect and save on
