The premise is explained (in the loosest sense of the word) on the show's website [1] but the Reader's Digest version is that the main character goes back in time to her life's defining moments so that she can do things differently thus changing her current lot in life. In the pilot episode she went back to her high school days which took place in the 80's, hence, the 64. Turns out the CBC put the entire episode on the web [2] so anyone interested in seeing it in its entirety can do easily. It wasn't bad, as far as these sorts of things go, and the woman playing the lead (Erin Karpluk) is quite talented and cute as a button so I might tune in next week.
