As I remember I had to supply the power adapter.      I use it on a modern 
Windows XP machine, and it works with a USB serial port.  (regular port fine 
too)    I guess you could make a real floppy disk by connecting it up with a 
real floppy drive on a different port number and copying it with the 64.  I 
haven't tried that.  I could give it a try and let you know.

I make real floppy disks using XA1541 cable connected to a Win9x box.

received the C64TPC?

How "new" of a PC does it require?  Does it work with WinXP?
