Gotta make some space! I bought a PET 2001 years ago to play with in
the hopes of doing some really basic hardware hacking, but never got
around to it. With a stack of C128D(CR)'s and various other CBM
computers, I'm sticking to the C64/C128 line from now on. So, I'd like
to see this unit go to a good home.
I have up for grabs a PET 2001 with 2031 disk drive and an ancient
Commodore printer that came with the unit. When I last powered
everything up a few years ago it worked fine. In fact, I just powered
it up now, and it comes to life without problems. I did find that some
of the keys are a little sticky and don't contact, so the keyboard
definitely needs a cleaning. The unit has been on a shelf in my
darkroom for about seven years so it is very dusty. Doing a LOAD"*",8
brings the drive to life, but it didn't find anything on my disk -- not
sure if the disk is bad or the drive, but the drive powers and the
lights flash in error, so it's doing something in there.
Inside the unit is a three layer PCB "sandwich" to hold ROM's. In the
top layer there is a Paperclip 2.8 chip.
Making a SYS call to 36864 also brings up Waterloo basic. I'm not sure
if this was a standard feature of the PET 2001, but it is there
nonetheless.

gets the package:
PET 2001 2031 DD Cable from PET to DD Printer (With cables IIRC).
