Hi Rich,

I don't have any of this information, but if anyone in the Toronto area group
has it but needs a volunteer to scan it, then I'll step up to the plate.

Also, you might like to try some of the guys in Chicago, they also have a large
Commodore group, VCF-MW is based on it.
You can reach them by searcing VCF-MW. Talk to Jason Timmons or Mike Lee, they
might know someone who knows someone... etc.

Remember that commercial, "She told 2 friends who each told 2 friends"... great
way to visualize powers of 2 :)

PS. For anyone on this list that doesn't know Rich, I will say he's a great guy
and on the ball with hardware and software!

Regards,
Josh Bensadon

Hi —

A guy on the MARCH list (which I’m also a member) told me that you
might be able to answer a question regarding the archiving of original
internal Commodore source code. Many years ago (around 2000) I tried
to trace where original source code to the Commodore firmware and
application programs might have gone, for the purposes of preservation
and archival. I was particularly interested in the VIC and 64 (because
that’s where my interests were at the time). As may be expected, any
of my queries to various law firms went unanswered.

I know that various books from the era had ROM listings in them, but
I’m not sure if those were based on original documents from Commodore
or ROM dumps. I think it would be great to scan original print-outs
from the original development teams. If those exist somewhere on the
Internet, I haven’t stumbled upon them yet.

Any information that you might be able to provide would be appreciated. Thanks!

Rich
