Hi Leif,

YES, I just acquired (today) a C2N datacassette from a local vendor who
specializes in retro and vintage collectables and they happened to have one in,
parted $15 for it.

Maybe I should of waited though, as $2 would've been a better bargain. However
I wasnt' aware of CCCC, are they coming to this years 'World of Commodore'
show? The reason for me asking is they are not listed as one of the vendors for
the WOC '08 at the TPUG website.

Leif, the reason im looking for an XA1541 cable is that they're more suited to
my labtop that im using which is an older Cicero Pentium III, 1.3GHz 256MB ram,
40G HD labtop for cross development for my freeware Robotech game im working
on. See link;

I also have a HP Pavillion AMD 3200, 2GB ram, 160GB HD desktop where the XM1541
cable should work, but that is with the desktop which my wife uses most of the
time since it's hooked up to a printer (She's a teacher) Are the XM1541 cables
reliable enough for use on modern day labtop's? Just curious as I heard they
are some problems and the XA1541 may better suit for use on laptop's.

Leif, I am interested in the XM1541 cable and will pay cash for it. I can meet
up with you at the next TPUG meeting if that's ok.

I don't know if you were there to remembered me, but I was the guy at the CGCC
spring swap meet in Brampton back in March of this year that bought the 64 with
the 1702 monitor and 1541 disk drive. You guys had a nice selection of stuff.
So did the guy who had the Atari 400's of course. Another favorite of mine.

As for my plans on the game are to use the CSS64 and WinVICE emulators for
cross development and testing on the PC, and then port it back over to the C64.
I always wished they made a C64 game back when Robotech and the 64 were on
everyone's minds. But that never happened. Now who knows with all the
literature out there available on the net. I might learn enough about the 64 to
make a game or two based on the robotech universe.

See ya at TPUG!
