I just got a note from Clark Hill and wanted to pass this along. Clark and
Stephanie birded Highland County this past Saturday, 12/08/07. They found 12
eagles, 7 Balds, 4 Goldens, and 1 unidentified. All seven Bald Eagles were seen
along Rt. 220, with five of them being adults, four of which were perched
together in pairs at two different locations. All four Golden Eagles were seen
on
Hardscrabble Rd., with three of them being immatures. A 12th eagle on Rt. 640
was perched too far away to be safely identified. The only Rough-legged Hawk
they saw was also on Rt. 640.
