Just an update. Last count was July 10th and the number of Purple Martins is
approximately 12-18,000. Hopefully, we will have our regular counter soon.
The average number of people is 188 per weekday night for those of you who
are concerned about large crowds.
On Sunday night, I am still leading birdwalks beginning at the North end of
the Farmers' Market at 7:30 pm. Last Sunday, 9 members of the Williamsburg
bird club came and some birders from Charlottesville were present as well.
