[Va-bird] A Louisiana Waterthrush In Warren County, Virginia, This Morning, June 25, 2014

A Louisiana Waterthrush sat on our deck near the bird feeders this morning
around 0745.  Our deck is located in the suburbs of glorious,
greater-downtown, Limeton, Virginia.  Limeton is located about six miles
south of Front Royal on U S Route 340 in northern Page Valley.  This
sighting of a Waterthrush is a first in ten years of observations at this
location.  We have no major water nearby.  The South Fork of the Shenandoah
River, where we normally see this bird, is about four miles away.

Also seen between 0715 and 0815 this morning at or near our feeders were:

Turkey Vulture (Flying Overhead)
Mourning Dove
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Eastern Phoebe
Blue Jay
American Crow
Tree Swallow
Carolina Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
White-breasted Nuthatch
Carolina Wren
Eastern Bluebird
American Robin
Northern Mockingbird
Chipping Sparrow
Northern Cardinal
Indigo Bunting
Brown-headed Cowbird
Baltimore Oriole
House Finch
American Goldfinch

Eastern Meadowlark have been seen regularly in the grassy fields nearby,
this week.
