Busy yard today at Accomack. Pine warbler first seen two days ago. First
time ive ever had one at feeders. It wasnt skittish at all coming and going
to suet feeder. Its using the one near house about head high attached to
large tree . It was singing while i was trnding to things and i walk about
15 ft away and was looking for it. It was gobbling up suet!! Blackbirds are
back . They were missing since last spring i believe. Id had a bunch of
bread and scraps in freezer to feed winter birds and i had to feed animals
instead .Raccoons were happy! Todays birds grackles, rw blackbird, bh
cowbird, Pine warbler, chickadee, rb nuthatch, bh nuthatch, brown creeper,
cardinal, a goldfinch(20)(was excited just seeing two goldfinch at feeders.
Now have 20 .Getting an additional thistle feeder tommor. ), house finch, c
wren, rb woodpecker, downy wp, junco. Missing titmouse.None even ate few
pieces of bread. Not like the city birds i was used to!Grackles always
gobbled up food scraps.
