Interesting afternoon at Occoquan NWR -- dodging the raindrops. A highlight
was a Blue Winged Warbler in a brushy area on the path that cuts off of Easy
Road to the North. I also found two Prairie Warblers, a Magnolia, and a
Prothonotory (as well as several Common Yellowthroats). Orchard Orioles were
plentiful. The other highlight was a Great Horned Owl that was spooked out of
it's roost by a flock of Mockingbirds. A complete list is up on e-bird with a
link to a picture of the blue winged warbler.
