Had a nice morning at Algonkian Park today, with 3 vireo and 7 warbler
species.
Started out in the strip of trees to the right of the boat ramp and found
WARBLING VIREO, ORCHARD ORIOLE, and a NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH. As I was walking
out, found a singing PROTHONOTARY WARBLER just to the right of the boat
ramp.
I then walked up river, in the direction of the swimming pool and cottages,
and found RED-EYED VIREO, YELLOW-THROATED VIREO, YELLOW WARBLER, NORTHERN
PARULA, CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER, NASHVILLE WARBLER, and SCARLET TANAGER.
As I was walking back toward the boat ramp I got my first BALTIMORE ORIOLE
of the year.
