When the snowstorm hit over the weekend I went down to Jones Point Park
adjacent to the woodrow wilson bridge in Alexandria and noticed a frenzy of
activity under the bridge itself where there was no snow. In among the sparrows
and Juncos were three American Pipits.
Went back there today and the Pipits are still there and have been joined by a
single Horned Lark (A life bird for me). They are just on and near the bike
trail across the field from the lighthouse near to the Bridge.
Happy birding!
