I found an American bittern at Metz wetlands this afternoon. It was along the
boardwalk to the blind. I was able to get quite close as it held its "you
can't see me" pose (I did not know they have yellow eyebrows; quite becoming).
Also at Metz were a male northern harrier, 7 Forster's terns, and 2 Caspian
terns.
