7/2/11 Open roads day at Mackay Island Wildlife Refuge on Knotts Island, NC.
Fieldtrip attended by 11 Va. Beach Audubon birders.
Two major highlights: Male Anhinga, breeding plumage. Seen & photographed by
all. (We have seen a male in Va. Beach many times this winter & 1 view of
female who hung out long enough to get her picture taken in early April) Two
members got to see the Peregrine.
Will include list of all our finds tomorrow.
