Greetings all on this Thanksgiving weekend!
Many thanks to Ms Joanna Behrer for sharing her bird and her yard with me. Also
to Audrey Whitlock for the info that led me to Ms Behrer (and to Susan Campbell
who banded it). It is a gorgeous bird and I have posted too many photos of it
in a set called "Anna's Hummingbird- The MANY faces of...". The amazing variety
of the bird's appearance as the light plays upon its iridescence is stunning.
Anyway, I will probably delete out some more of the photos soon. Maybe.

On a personal note, this will be my last post to the listserves from the U.S.
for a while. My wife and I are off to Australia on Monday for an extended
visit, returning in the early spring. I have had several people ask that I post
some of the bird photos that I will be taking in Australia, so I will post
occasionally from down under (if you look back through my photostream, you can
see quite a few Aussie birds in there already).
So... I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and wonderful birding.
Cheers,
