On Thursday and Friday I took a short trip across the CBBT to the Eastern
Shore. Others have reported on the general migration movement so I won't give a
whole list of sitings here. But I've posted a few photos on my Flickr site
(www.flickr.com/birdingva) that include some Broad-winged Hawks, Oystercatchers
and other birds. I also saw and photographed a Red-billed Laughing Gull on CBBT
Island #1. One of these aberrant birds was seen at the same place last year
about this time, so I found it interesting that another showed up. The photos
to that gull are at

If you look closely, you'll see a good amount of red pigment in the gull's legs
and feet as well as in the bill.
Good birding---
