The wind, here in Glen Allen, is blowing trees and anything else all about.
A few new back yard birds this morning.
White-Throated Sparrow 4
Dark-Eyed Junco 2
Kinglet 1
(I could not tell if it was a Ruby-Crowned or not. Normally have a
Ruby-Crowned Kinglet hopping about in the back yard during the Winter.)
Adult Male Northern Flicker 1
Eastern Phoebe 2
I am trying to keep a check on moist soil conditions in Snow Goose pool at
Chincoteague NWR. I am planning a trip there around Thanksgiving week but may
hold and head else where if the pools are dry. Last year the Wildlife Drive
pool was bone dry, during my visit, and a lot of the Snow Geese headed further
South. So any info would be most helpful.
