A quick 45 minutes at Aquia Landing, 2:45 - 3:00pm saw large floats of Coot and
Gadwall, a few Ruddy, Cormorant and a pair of Mute Swan. Scanning the river
from Thorny Point road, I picked up 100+ Canvasback and about 10 each
Ring-necked and Redhead swimming together. A pair of Adult Bald Eagles circled
overhead and there were a pair of Killdeer in the grass.
