Dear VA-birders,
The Coastal Virginia Wildlife Observatory’s 19th annual Kiptopeke Challenge
(KC) is just a few days away – Saturday, September 21.
If you plan to bird Chincoteague NWR or the Eastern Shore of Virginia NWR
this Saturday, why not enter the KC as a “Special Venue” team? It only
takes two people!
The KC is open to everyone regardless of birding ability. And, it’s great
way to utilize your birding skills in support of a non-profit organization
dedicated to avian research, habitat conservation and public education.
It’s not too late to get involved by entering a team or by joining one of
those already in the event. You can also make a financial contribution buy
sponsoring one of the teams. All proceeds benefit the CVWO.

The Amazing Diving Mallards (Paul Nasca and Heidi Krofft)

Machipongo Salt Larks (Bruce and Joanne Lantz)

Bowerbirds (Whittney Speed, Elias, Alyra, Perry, and Epona)
