The National Gallery is exhibiting a collection of Audubon's bird paintings for
several more months.
Today, I heard the curator of the exhibition, Philip Leonard, talk about the
collection. He is an excellent speaker, witty as well as knowledgeable. Along
with Audubon Naturalist Society's Marcia and Kent Minichiello, Mr. Leonard will
give several talks about Audubon's work. The 50-minute lectures, entitled
Audubon and Nature, will take place on January 26 and 28, and on February 2, at
noon in the West Building Rotunda of the National Gallery.
