Hello all
This morning I did my pond checks around Augusta County . Not finding to
much in the way of Waterfowl but the high light of today was that the 13
Greater White - fronted Geese were still at Hestons Farm Ponds off of Shilom
Road in the Stuarts Draft area . The other high light was 2 Purple Martins
flying around the house in the back of the Cheese Shop off of Rt. 608 in
Stuarts Draft .
Note to all who want to trek up to The Blue Ridge Parkway for the Wookcocks
tonight at the Visitors Center Mile 5.8 be there about half an hour before
sunset . I think it calls for a 30 % chance of showers but who cares . I
will be there . Also when it gets to where we can not see the Wookcocks we
will try for some Owls . All are welcome to this event .
