thanks to a heads up from our friendly harbor master Chip, I was able to be
present when a BC Night Heron dropped in at the Dyke Marsh marina tonight. Flew
in about 8:30 and first posted up in the little slip area behind the office.
Landed on the concrete walkway and jumped up to the rail of a boat. Stayed for
about 10 minutes before flying over to the pier area on the river side.
Not an easy Fairfax Co. bird to track down. Thanks Chip!
