Tina Trice and I spent the afternoon at Back Bay NWR in Virginia Beach.
Highlights included a BAIRD'S SANDPIPER and AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER, both
juveniles located on the east side of the dike just after the second cross dike
where the road curves. Other highlights included an obliging SORA that came
out of the marsh briefly for good looks and a KING RAIL seen by Tina while I
was lagging behind. By the time I got to her, the rail had vanished. A
beautiful afternoon to be out. I pasted links to some marginal photos of the
