[Va-bird] Back Bay, Whitehurst Tract and other spots in Va. Beach

Sorry for the late post computer kept deleting everything I typed, UGH!!!

Here I go again trying to make the list stay long enough to send.

These birds, 50 were seen on Sunday at the different locations listed above:

Loggerhead Shrike  (still hanging out in Va. Beach)
Green Heron  ( very early appearance)
Great Blue Heron
Blue Wing Teal (seen at Whitehurst-has been approx. 5 years since last seen 
there)
Green Wing Teal
White Ibis (25 hanging out in trees)
Turkey Vulture
Black Vulture
American Crows
Bald Eagle
Canada Geese
Red-tailed Hawk
Cooper's Hawk
Northern Harrier
Sharpie
Bluebirds
Wigeon
Northern Shoveler
Gadwall
Coots
Greater Yellow Legs
Mallards
Mockingbird
Brown Thrasher
Common Grackle
Boat-tailed Grackle
Red-wing Blackbird
Belted Kingfisher
Osprey
Pie-billed Grebe
White-throated Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Carolina Wren
Northern Cardinal
Blue Jays
Flicker
Ring-billed Gull
Greater Back-back Gull
Herring Gull

And I am sure there were others that I missed, but all in all a great day 
birding.  

Thanks to the Department of Game & Inland Fisheries, David Whitehurst and Becky 
Gwynn, Whitehurst Tract is making a come back. The ducks have finally started 
coming back in along with song birds.
