Having an hour to kill this morning, I stopped at Back Creek Park on
Goodwin Neck Rd in York County for what I anticipated to be an uneventful
birding experience. I had this small park to myself, and the birds were very
active. Hermit Thrush and Fox Sparrows were unconcerned by my presence and
provided excellent views. Woodpeckers were especially vocal, but the
highlight was a fly over by about 200 Tundra Swans heading north. All 32
