On Wednesday of this past week I observed and adult bald eagle near
Dungannon, Virginia. I was driving on route 65 and was at the Russell/Scott
county line when I saw the bird flying west toward Dungannon. This location
was a couple of miles from the Clinch River. I know that there have been
several reports of adult eagles nesting along the Clinch this year and this
may have been one of those birds. I watched the eagle for several minutes
through my binoculars. Crows in the area were doing everything they could
