A bald eagle perches on a snag every morning at the end of the Telegraph
Road ramp where it joins 495 South. I usually see it on the tree when I'm
driving to work around 8 a.m. It makes my day.
A friend and I went and saw the nighthawks at the Air Force Memorial on
Friday evening. It was foggy, but the hawks swooped down from time to time
and entertained us. There were five or six hawks. It was difficult to tell
because they were flying so fast.
